\u201c[…] The mouth, the tongue, the movement of air, and the rhythm of words\u2014all of this is oral expression. And the right word is not to translate but to interpret. And I work on that shift, when spoken language becomes written language. […]\u201d<\/p>\n

Diane Guyot is one of those artists for whom drawing and language play an essential role. She received her artistic training first at the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure d’Arts in Cergy and then at the \u00c9cole des Arts D\u00e9coratifs in Paris.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attracted from an early age to places of learning or transit, she exhibited at Cork International Airport during the \u201cTerminal Convention\u201d symposium, commissioned by Peter Gorschl\u00fcter, deputy director of the MMK Frankfurt, and at Chelsea Space at the College of Art and Design in London for \u201cIdeal Home.\u201d In Marseille, she signed the 1% artistic extension of the Timone Health Campus and more daring performance projects, despite being in the heart of the European Hospital – Ambroise Par\u00e9 Foundation. In 2023, as the featured artist for the 10th anniversary of the Salon du Dessin Par\u00e9idolie, she published a collection
of drawings made in critical care, emergency, and Covid-dedicated intensive care units; a chronicle of a space where all users are underrepresented.<\/p>\n

Moving from one institution to another, but always on the spot, she drew and wrote in the extraordinary courtroom of the Marseille Judicial Court during the trial for the collapse of the buildings on Rue d’Aubagne.<\/p>\n
